1. Trim Your Wick Before Each Burn
Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to about ¼ inch. This helps prevent excessive soot, uneven flames, and mushrooming at the top of the wick. A clean wick ensures your soy candles burn longer and cleaner.
2. Let the Wax Pool
On the first burn, allow your candle to melt across the entire surface, creating a full “wax pool.” This prevents tunneling and helps your SoapyHolic candle release its fragrance evenly. Aim for at least 2–3 hours for the first burn.
3. Burn Candles in Safe Intervals
For the best experience, burn your candles for no more than 4 hours at a time. This keeps the wax and wick in top shape, extending the life of your handmade candle.
4. Keep It Away From Drafts
